Yes — homeowner-supplied cabinets from any source are common. What matters is that the boxes are the right sizes for the layout and arrive undamaged, so we review sizes, the layout, and the delivery condition before installation is scheduled. If something is missing or damaged on arrival, that is easier to sort out before the crew is standing in your kitchen than after.
Do I need new cabinets, or can the ones I have be updated?
It depends on the boxes. Where the cabinet boxes are sound and the layout still works, a great deal can be done without replacing them — new doors and drawer fronts, crown and light rail, end panels, toe kicks, and hardware and soft-close hinge upgrades.
